  • Author Presentation:  (All ages)           
  • I've backpacked thousands of miles along the Appalachian Trail.  My
    travels range from the Florida Everglades to the Arctic Ocean and all
    points in between.  Let me educate, excite, and entertain your
    students with stories of life on and off the beaten path.

  • Writer Workshop:  (Grades 5-12)           
  • For students interested in the process of writing and publishing a
    book.  I'll discuss my own evolution from nerdy bookworm to ALL
    POWERFUL author.  What's a good story?  And what do you do with
    it?  Answers, questions, and insights for aspiring writers.  Workshop
    can be tailored for class size or smaller group discussion.

  • Book Signing:  Add as part of an Author Presentation or Book Fair or
    Library Event.  
What does a school visit cost?

Rates can be flexible based on location.  I currently live in Tallahassee, Florida.  
Contacts in Central Florida make it possible to reduce travel expenses for
Tampa, St. Pete, Ocala, Orlando, and surrounding areas. I love to travel, so let's
talk about it!
Any author event can be tailored to meet specific teacher, student, and school
needs. Smaller meetings with school clubs and interested student groups can
be arranged as part of a School Visit.  

I'm thrilled to do interviews with school newspapers.  If you're a young reporter
or editor looking for a fluff piece to wedge between the cafeteria menu and
